Our story
It all started with a simple idea:
produce food the way it used to be produced.
Where we come from
Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of having my own project. That entrepreneurial spirit was born almost as early as I was, and over the years it grew into the great purpose of my life: to build something of my own, from the land, with my hands and my heart in every step.
That's how what is today Veragua came to be, in the countryside of Quindío, out of the conviction that it was possible to produce food while respecting nature, animal welfare and the land's own cycles. We started out as Alma de Campo, but we couldn't register that name — so we went looking for a new one, and that's how Veragua came about (more on that below).
We started with pastured eggs: hens that roam freely, feed naturally and live the way they should. That same care led us to add origin coffee and, alongside producers who share our way of working, A2 milk and artisanal products.
Today we keep growing with the same idea as always: every food that reaches your table should tell a good story, from start to finish.
The story behind the logo
As I mentioned, we couldn't register the name Alma de Campo, so I went looking for a new one — and I wanted to honor my grandfather. Veragua was the name of the first farm he managed to buy with the fruit of his own work.
